Are the limits you’re talking about the stops in the wing the bell crank hits or the internal moveable stops?
Thanks for the advice. As for starting my with the horns centered, I feel like that’s essentially what one does by putting the horn at the physical stop with the aileron at it’s down spec, in this...
They were under to begin with. Control cables are an absolute last resort. Currently removing a link at the control horn and fabricating new slightly longer link.

Yes. I opened them wide open so that they aren’t interfering at all.
Looking for some advice about rigging ailerons on the -12. We weren’t getting correct throw, and the rod end/bearings were corroded badly. So we replaced the rod ends and are trying to get rigged...
I want to find out the why for sure, but my IA implied that screwing something into the panel could be considered installing. We will go with that for now and will use 3M dual lock. We’ve used it...
New never used. Make an offer. $38.49 new.
Thanks! That’s awesome. Any issue do you know with putting that on a certified AC panel?
What iPad mount is that?
Sorry I had a typo on the last post. So no spinner to add washers to.
As for basis of not using a spinner, I’m going with what someone pointed out, that there are propeller options in the TC...
Any suggestions on how to balance with no spinner and no holes on the ring gear/back plate for weights?
Now one mechanic is just being picky. He said “well that’s for a super cub not a super cruiser”. I think I’ve seen what I need to feel warm and fuzzy. We’ll see what the IA says Thursday on...
I’m interested to hear what you see as a difference.
im still curious.....will the feds slap my peepee if I fly without a spinner on my 1946 pa-12?
I'd like to resurrect this thread. Steve, you mentioned you can't find anywhere on the Type Certificate that lists a spinner as required. I agree. However, was the airplane originally certificated...
We DID cut an inspection hole in the belly for the elevator cable and trim cable swaps. Doug put in a fantastic clean out plate at rebuild but it doesn’t go forward enough to deal with those mid...
we were ready to cut fabric, but found that we had enough room to comfortably work the problem without it. Have you had any issues with having an inspection plate there? That seems to be a high...
Anybody have a rough reference tension either number or eyeball/rule of thumb for the tensioner pulley spring in the back? Just installed a new trim cable from Tony and while the spring was easily...
Got a lot done today. Old cable is out and new is in. Almost done fabricating the crank system per darrell’s design. The old crank shaft was severely worn as shown. We have found that all of the “...

This is myself firmly stuck 90 degrees to the takeoff run at this strip. Had to unload everybody, tramp a turnout, and full power, full forward stick, some flaps, and some working back and...
Haven’t seen that but have seen the inside gear endure pilot assisted realignment as it didn’t have forward movement during a tight turn.

I found this on univair and ordered a couple. Might could make it work.
MS20392-5C57 CLEVIS PIN
I appreciate that Philly. Can’t seem to get the US site to work either. I’ll keep on the search. Anybody have the part number for the longer pin that could be trimmed and drilled?
I can’t find anybody that carries it. It’s an AN part number and has an MS equivalent but I can’t find it. If someone can point the way I’ll go there, but haven’t found one yet.
Aircraft spruce is out to the end of February for the an396-59 clevis pin. Seeing how I’m deep into this retrofit and it’s holding up other parts of our project I’d be very grateful and would pay a...
