Would seem like you could go back to when the Service Bulletin came out, but then again it is the FAA.
Let me guess, you bought a surplus Navy ship and it didn't come with an anchor so now you're looking for a stock Super Cub battery box...
I’ve seen 155 but the most impressive number I ever noted was 3700fpm vertical in a Wyoming thermal while nose down with full throttle. Wasn’t particularly pleasant when I broke free at 15700’.
We just finished the bore scope, tail cone off method. Didn't find anything but will likely pull the tail off later for a more through inspection.
That looks to be correct for 8012, the 8011 fits 149. It's good to check, at some point my cub had the ring gear changed.
If you only got one flight out of a new starter you might want to proof you have the proper starter, start by counting the teeth on the ring gear.
Ly-Con is a dealer and placed the order. Continental shipped the complete engine to them and they pulled the cylinders for the magic, reinstalled and Dyno ran the engine for about 3 hours then...

Follow-up:
The new engine and prop rebuild has the family truckster running like a swiss watch (thanks Continental for the re-man, Ly-Con for the magic, Foster’s for the prop rebuild, Aircraft...
Nope and I have moved the portable around that I use in my 180 a good bit in the Cub to confirm the readings from my hard mount probe which is located under the panel and annunciates on the CGR30P.
Really good, obviously took awhile to put together, many thanks.
Watch for C130’s between the ridges in Arkansas, I’ve met two in those confines but have always been able to reach them on Guard.
30, give or take.
Just display VS on your 496 or 796, it’s pretty sensitive. Especially a 796 with a secondary gps input like ADSB-in it’s sensitive enough to fine tune the trim with, do it every time I fly.
They are still listed for sale but there are also complaints on several other forums about their being rigged for silent running for the last 6-10 months...
If I could get Horizon to answer the phone I'd ask them...
There is only one opinion that counts and Horizon states that recording tach's per the FAA are to show engine time per Horizon's Instructions on page 12, next to the last paragraph...
Mine is in engine time which I like.
Thanks, I’m swapping like engines so hopefully this part will be easy.
Anybody know if the tach time is field re-settable and if so maybe have the instructions?
Haven’t had a chance to do much with the Aspen but we’ve been being careful to sneak the new engine on hopefully without anything else noticing.

I ocassionally use the Airframes bags which work well but get their pour valve as it really helps. I just lay it on the tank cover and put the tube well into the tank (for spark protection) open the...
Great to hear from you Cloudy, glad you’re still on the good side of the snow. Merry Christmas!
