I shake my head at your saying ground cable needs to be same size gauge as the SHORT GROUND STRAP/CABLE from engine to fuselage(I don’t do engine to mount, to many loose connections in engine mount...
I tried that! They glow red on start on a 185... but.....
Might not of been primer, but they were copper lines...

thinking back to some that were repaired at atlee's, they cut off drain bung and welded small section on top then welded new bung on..... not sure that's necessary.....

That’s a different attachment method than snider used, his has a spring steel bolt on mount from both clusters on each side, with aluminum gear

Pro seal is fine. That’s what seals the rivets on Atlee tanks. Used many times to get by. Welding would be better, sure.

I have one(I got for free) they are cranky things, they don’t appreciate only being used every few years.... I spend HOURS getting it to behave, to then only sew for 2 minutes......

BUT, you can ruin a brand new solenoid by rotating the big studs slightly during installation. Kinda crappy design how those studs are held in the insulator. Any one have an old solenoid to cut top...
