This is an age old discussion. When relative "flatlanders" (like me) were taught to fly, it was always "mixture rich" for takeoff and landing - with really little explanation of the other options....

Most PA18s are 20 or 40 degrees of flaps unless you have filed in some new notches.
I use full flaps 90% of the time when landing the cub in all conditions. I may sometimes dump them on touchdown...

We had the privilege of flying into Pioneer Airport (next to KOSH) with a bunch of folks up here for the RAF Leadership conference. It was really fun. Going into the museum with only a few people...
Absolutely. Just takes two receivers. If you have ever looked at the Stratux setup it's the same basic hardware using open source software.

I like Trent, and I'm glad he is appealing and I sure hope he is able to make some progress, but as Mike says, the precedent is out there so who knows.
