In your estimation, approximately what would a good condition 1970 SC 150 with IFR avionics upgrades go for in the current market? I just had eye surgery that has not turned out for the best and if things don't improve I may be looking to sell also.

Except for the windows, my SuperCub is "equilibrium dirty". It makes the air it encounters as dirty as the air makes it dirty, on average. And that's the way it should be.
My cub has always been in harmony with the universe around it. The bugs on the leading edge are its proud trophies; a...
There are a lot of different personalities out there. Some of those personalities will reject help of any kind. My impression is that there might be more of those people in Alaska than Tennessee - maybe I'm wrong.
That doesn't mean that we should let the occasional guy with poor or no social...

It's not the corrosion of the titanium that I'm concerned about, it's the steel (or metal bushing) and bolts that the titanium is in contact with. Might be a really good idea to have a replaceable copper wire bridging the two structures to keep the electrical potential to zero. Cheap...
Would bolting titanium to a steel frame result in galvanic corrosion issues where they come together? There's a pretty big gap in electrical potential between titanium and steels. I'm no corrosion engineer, just asking.

I've got a 2003 Maule MT7-235 and a SuperCub 150. Two different airplanes, with similar emphasis on STOL. 850 tires on both. I love them both.
Sorry to contradict, but every single single aspect of the fit and finish of my Maule is excellent. No problem with door latches, either. It is smooth...
This is a great discussion and very relevant to most of us. But your life is too precious to risk it on something as unnecessary as this particular trip. There are no outs way out over the ocean and the odds of death from mechanical failure are too high to accept. Why risk your life over a...
Go for it - ADF may not be the best "rational" navigational choice in this technological age, but if we were all making rational choices, we wouldn't be buying AVGAS at these prices or flying fabric covered antiques, either.
ADF is easy to use, easy to intuitively understand and - most...
I want to keep the rear stick because it's sometimes fun for passengers, but I do have a problem with it. Bet I'm not the only one with this issue and there may be some new owners reading this who don't KNOW they have the issue.
When my front seat is positioned all the way back, it keeps the...
