Jerry,
Bob Breeden here contacting you. We met at Valdez in 2008 or 2009. I have read your 12/27/10 post on SuperCub.org, that post was excellent.
I am building a LIGHT experimental O-375 Super Cub with a light composite prop. Moving the engine back 9 inches to keep the machine balanced and playful, with a stock length tail and no lead mass in tailwheel - even with a fiberglass tailspring.
Would larger VG's work better, say double the height and length of Micros? I am using the stock wing - I like stock ailerons for gusts and rotors on short final. Next year I may scale up the wing 10 percent or 20 percent, in all dimensions. I would also like to fit on an Otter type flap - so that concept is working my mind but for now, the wing that I am curious about VG wise is the stock Super Cub wing.
Will you be coming to Alaska this year? I have room in my hangar if you want to leave your plane there for some or all of the season.....
Thanks,
Bob Breeden
