Do under seat battery mod, get rid of header tanks, change over to b&c light weight alternator and starter...you'll prolly shave at least 40 pounds and then it will really fly sweet with the new performance mods.
Anyone interested or know of someone that might be interested in a Grumman Lynx parternship based at KRYY in Kennesaw, GA? The owner describes it has the nicest Lynx in the country. Its got a 160hp and cruises 150mph on 7-8gph.
$20k will get you half of this economical little airplane.

Designed for military/law enforcement. Never had a problem with it in the cub....just get the Oregon aero leather mic muffs and your good to go.
With 31s, I wouldn't go below 45mph until you got comfortable with it and even then there's no reason to go that slow unless your trying to make a water assisted landing. Usually ill ski around at 60-70 mph
Definitely DON"T use the brakes on water.....someone said I was crazy for not using brakes so I tried it one day and almost nosed over on the water...so I think they are crazy. When water skiing it is no different than a hard surface runway, except you can't go as slow or your'll sink in.
Thank you! My friend Brad is the mastermind behind the editing and he was doing most of the flying in that video. That was actually our first attempt at the two-plane camera stuff so there should be much more/better footage to come.
We ranged from about 5-6 feet at the closest and 100 feet at the farthest. Didn't use the gopro remote...waiting on the iphone app to be released so I could have controlled the camera from inside the super cub and had a live view finder.
Those pics are all screen shots from the video which I...
