I’m doing a trial assembly of the elevator, links, cables, bell crank, etc. I was startled at the lack of a positive stop such as that employed on the aileron. Does any exist? Right now, the stick/connector rod hardware strikes the base of the control torque tube at the extremes of the elevator movement. Seems to me that there should be another positive stop somewhere in the flow.
What am I missing?

Heres a J3 fuselage frame drawing for the details. I tried to put it in here but if it doesn't show up I can send it to your email. Its a fairly big .pdf file 44678

There is a tab at the tailpost and a tube between the top longerons forward of the elevator bellcrank that form the elevator stops.

Thanks for the input guys and you are correct. At the time I submitted the query, I had only installed the top cable. When I added the bottom cable, it all fell in place. Sure appreciate the expertise available on this site!
