Hi All,

Having a ball flying the J-3 I purchased in January! Now up to a grand total of almost 50 tailwheel hours! :-P

I'm starting to pick away at some various 'beautification' projects, and I'd like to replace all the cowl mounting rubbers/clips. At the moment, my plane has an ugly assortment of random half-grommets, hardware store nylon washers, and three sizes of spring retaining clips. :-?

Is there anyone that offers a complete kit of new hardware for mounting a J-3 cowl?

Thanks,

John

If you donít find any look up https://specialtyresin.com/ or smooth on and just make some. Pouring rubber parts is easy. Buy this book. Info is out dated but the simple methods are still good. 38185

The tractor pins are available at good hardware stores.

Not sure the rubber washers were original equipment. My Cub came without them in 1962, and I have never felt any burning need to have them.

Ace hardware has the rubber washers.

Howdy all, I have seen a friend use die cut discs of brown tanned leather below the SS steel standard clip pins.
