Ummm, at the speeds they fly the word 'fast' is misleading.

A pitch change in propellor can make a difference also- as can engine size.

I've seen a 65 hp Chief out run a 85 hp 7AC. It hurt my feelings since it was my Champ.

Could it be because the tank is in the back? I ask because my Champ is 5 mph faster with someone in the back seat.
