New Cessna AD 172, 182, 205, 206, 207, 210

NPRM? (notice of proposed rule making)

I havent made it to the work computer yet today to ferret this out

Am I missing something or are they telling us to accomplish an inspection item that is (or should be) done on every annual? In a nutshell, we need to inspect for cracks in structure around a strut attach point.

Doesn't everyone look that area over for cracks anyway??? I agree...a picture would be worth at least a thousand words here!

A few Hiloks and rivets and you’re good to go!

Interesting that this is only for nosedraggers.
Id thknk there'd be more wear-n-tear on a taildragger, due to thafs where the gear attaches.
But maybe theyre built beefier, for that exact reason.

Hotrod180, I think the point you are missing is that the taildraggers don't use the part that is being inspected.

Well, it aint an AD yet, but the issue exhibited itself on at least one of our fleets nosedraggers.
