Inspection grommet

I've missed installing at least one inspection grommet. I have Polyfiber's aerothane finish and am wandering the proper ( or best at this point) procedure to install one now.

Mask off a circle, scuff it with scotchbrite and glue your reinforcement ring on. I do it quite bit on a lot of different finishes when I have to gain access to something. You might put a #4 PK screw through the leading and trailing edge of the inspection plate to keep it from sliding around and pulling the grommet off. Those reinforcements over the grommets work great but wouldn't be worth the extra work in your case in my opinion.
