The Phonetic Song

While at New Holstein I played a little song I wrote a few years back for an aviation safety program we do and a couple folks wanted the lyrics:

The Phonetic Song
by Steve Johnson

(chorus)
Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta, Echo, Foxtrot,
We play Golf at a Hotel in India Too,
Well Juliet and Kilo go together somehow,
Just like Lima, Mike, November, Oscar do,

Papa has to travel soon to Quebec,
And Romeo now loves Sierra true,
They Tango in their Uniforms to be Victors of some Whiskey,
And sell X-rays of the Yankees to Zulus

(verse)
Well Foxtrot Alpha Alpha is your best friend,
and Alpha Oscar Papa Alpha is for you,
To violate class Bravo can be a bad, bad thing,
Sierra Hotel India Tangos' deep doo-doo

(chorus)

If you are a guitar player, it is in the key of C as follows:

C
Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta, Echo, Foxtrot,
F C
We play Golf at a Hotel in India Too,
F C
Well Juliet and Kilo go together somehow,
G7
Just like Lima, Mike, November, Oscar do,

(etc)

Thanks Steve,

You also sang a second song from your safety seminars. I really don't remember which one, (blame Wilburs Margaritas). If you recall the song, lyrics for that would be appreciated as well.
Purchased the WASP cd while at Oshkosh. Some great aviation related songs there as well. Will have to listen close and get the lyrics from them as well for next years fly in.
Then maybe we can talk Jimmy Buffet into coming so that we don't have to slaughter his Margaritaville and he can teach us the Sailor song!

Cheers,
Brenda

Yup.........I'd like to see the lyrics to "3rd rate pilot whose BFR is due" or something like that.

Third Rate Pilots

Third Rate Pilot

Music and Some Words by The Amazing Rhythm Aces
(Third Rate Romance)
Additional Words by Steve Johnson

Sittin? at the weather station in an airport restaurant,
They were staring at the enroute chart, trying to get the courage to start and read the metars too.
The talk was small when they talked at all, they both knew what they wanted.
There was no need to talk about it, they had their ratings and could start without it and keep it smooth.

He said, ?Those clouds are awfully low but I guess they?ll do?
Third rate pilot who?s BFR was due
He said, ?I?ll even call flight service if you want me to?
Third rate pilot who?s BFR was due

Well they left the charts and got into the plane and they flew away.
They flew to the VOR, but they didn?t even have to pretend they didn?t know how far.
He called approach and made his request and was handed off to the tower.
When he tuned in the frequency, he said sweet Jesus won?t you please help me get back to my car!

One said, ?I?ve never really shot this ILS before have you??
Third rate pilot who?s BFR was due
?Yes I have but then it was 1200 and two?
Third rate pilot who?s BFR was due
Third rate pilot who?s BFR was due
Third rate pilot who?s BFR was due
