What does it take to change to SC type struts? I have seen it done, but would like some "first hand knowledge, part numbers, and paperwork requirement?

Thanks

Personal opinion:
The PA18 strut is a better engineering design (when used to carry external loads. (if nothing else it is easier to lash the "racks" to!

The parts are easier to make and on an on!

Steve,

It is a Freightliner, we carry Saddle tanks out there for those long trips to the Iraqi catbox/sandbar!

Tim,
Even in the current confusion, my FAA guy said he'd approve 18 jury struts on my 12. The other day a friend of mine was flying full sheets of sheetrock tied to his 18 struts. He had to sandwich it in plywood for rigidity. He started with 4 sheets but said the second trip would have 8 sheets.
