Heat temp adapter

I have an 0-320 A-2-A in my PA-12. I just installed the Lycoming spin on oil filter kit. I don't have the part number handy but I think there is only one spin on oil filter kit for the lycomings. The problem is with the heat probe off the original Piper oil temp/pressure gauge. The reach on the oil temp probe is not long enough to reach the seat on the filter housing. I need an adapter that will screw into the housing that will accomodate the temp probe--(that is one with shorter distance to the seat). Does anyone know where I can buy one? Any help will be appreciated.

I have recently installed a B&C oilfilter adaptor on my 0320A2B for some types of oil temp prob an adapter is necessary, I believe this is the same situation you have? Bill at B&C offers an adapter B&C par number700-304-1 that may well work?
