Anybody else having problems with "View All NEW Posts Since Your Last Visit!" I have cleaned out my cookies but about midway through looking at the "posts since my last visit" they disappear. Been going on for a few weeks on my home computer and theshop. I will try Firefox if there isn't an easier solution. _________________ Steve Pierce

Steve,
It works great for me. Did you install some new kind of security or something on your computer? You are having a lot of problems lately. Is the time and date correct on both your home and work computer? Are they on the right year as well? Those are things to check.

Nothing new security wise or anything else I can think of. Checked the date, time and year here at the hanger it is correct. Seems like if I post or look at a link and then go back is when they won't work. It says "no post since your last visit" or something to that effect. Weird because it has always worked very well. I stay logged on at the house but the shop I don't so I can look at one post without having to look at everything I haven't read yet. That way I can go back later and catch up. I will try Firefox next. I just hate change and wondered if you were picking on me or if anyone else was having a problem. _________________ Steve Pierce

No, I am just picking on you.
Not sure firefox would fix this problem if everything else is fine. It is a "sessions and cookies" issue. Probably go away in 2010 or so.

Probably by then Lee can fix it. _________________ Steve Pierce

Steve says he didn't do anything so either Lee fixed it or it is PFM. Both computers working correctly now. Yes, I knocked on some wood. _________________ Steve Pierce

Its working okay here. I was able to see all 360 posts I missed since August. Any day now I will be caught up..... _________________ Stand your ground, don't fire unless fired upon, but if they mean to have a war let it begin here. - Capt. John Parker, Lexington April 19, 1775.

This happens to me on a regular basis. Any tips as to why I keep losing the link to be able to view new posts. Doesn't happen with any of my other website connections i.e. The Intl Cessna 170 Assn., Skiplane.Org, etc. _________________ Kyle Wolfe

Seriously you are losing the link?
It should be always on the forum main page. You can get to the forum main page by hitting the big supercub.org discussion forums logo on the upper left from any forums page, then the link will be on the right.
I use the feature 1000 times a day.

Just lost it again today. I can get to the Forums tab, but do not see the links to the right allowing me to see recent posts. I have to sign in again and when doing that, of course, it then shows the link but I can't see any new posts - since I was requested to relog in. Must have something to do with my McAffee security...???? _________________ Kyle Wolfe

Kyle, it doesn't work in Minn.
BUT if it DID, you'd surely see the "view posts since yer last visit" over on the top right (in the header bar).
What gripes my grapes is when I go to see a vid. or something offsite, and I return, it wants me to sign in again, thus NO NEW POSTS.
Haft'a go to the homepage, & read mess's down that list until I see one that looks familiar (already read).
I was thinking of moving to Iowa, but that seemed a bit painful. _________________ Nimpo Lake Logan... newbie SuperCub owner

Logan, your issue is likely too restrictive a cookie setting.
Kyle, are you by chance on dial up? Does the page load really slowly? Sounds like you are not getting all of info.
In order of best to worst, browsers for accessing this site (and most others) are:
Firefox - which seems to work the best
Chrome - which works very good
Internet Explorer - which has some issues with cookie managment
Safari - which has lots of login persistence problems and other script problems (not just with supercub.org).
Firefox is free and can be downloaded for PC or Mac at www.getfirefox.com

for what it's worth, I was having the same problem, off and on for 2 years. 6 weeks ago I switched from Hughes Net satellite service to Verizon Mifii. The Verizon service works off a 3g tower they recently put up a mile away. The Verzion service is the same price as Hughes net, faster, and no problems like described above.
