Oh yes, some people will be interested in how the names were chosen.

First, I gave a sequential number based on sign up date to the 877 entries in my database.

Next, I used http://www.random.org/integers/ to generate a table of 100 random numbers between 1 and 877 inclusive. Random.org is pretty cool, it uses atmospheric noise to seed the random pool.

I printed this table off.

Then I used random.org to generate two numbers between 1 and 100. I used those as an index into the first table to select the two winning entry numbers.

I then looked up the entry numbers in the database and came up with the two winners.

I really could not think of a more fair way to do it, as by going paperless, there was no problem with hanging chad, etc.

Thanks for the congrats guys I never usually win anything but today I won. Steve phoned and talk to my wife to get my address and she was trying to plan how she could rap it up for Xmas and say its from her. Thanks for the email Steve now she will have to find something else LOL. I will put it to good use.
