Sight Gauge Location

I've heard there is a template for the sight gauges in the wing root panel but haven't found it. I made new panels, wings are not on yet. Can I install the gauges or is it best to wait until the tanks are in? From the old panel it doesn't look like there's much wiggle room anyway, looks like they are up as high as possible.

You get to personally calibrate it when the noise stops ;-)

Wait until the tanks are in the wings and wings are on the plane and wings rigged. that way you can set the gauges dead level with the the tank . Makes fuel line routing easier also.

Good advise from Denny.
1/4 tubes welded to the tank are pretty fragile and sideloading them with misaligned fuel hose could result in cracking one one over time. I found out the hard way..

Pretty simple to mark and drill holes after wing/tank installed.
“Unibit” or step drill works well for big holes in soft thin material.
