C180 Flap Handle Spring.

In my new to me, C180 the flap lever is missing the spring. So to select a flap setting you have to push the button up with your thumb. This is sounding less then ideal.

I've ordered a new spring and found an electronic Service Manual on the net and had a skim of the procedure to remove the flap handle.
Any tricks to installing the new spring?

Paid to have one replaced on my 185 last annual. They expected a half day, took a whole day because of a stripped screw or bolt head. It's a great time to refinish the handle itself since they often look tired.

Dennis, i dont know any tricks to getting the new spring in. But make sure your new rivet is sized properly.
