"Candy-Gram for Mongo, Candy-Gram for Mongo..."

This gyrocopter pilot did a foolish thing and one does need to question his judgement. However, he did prove how foolish and ignorant BIG government policies are. Now matter what type of glass house Big government builds around themselves, no matter how many thousands of law abiding folks are inconvenienced, no matter how many billions of dollars are spent, no matter how much bloviating the politicians do, no matter etc, etc, etc. A lowly gyrocopter can still penetrate a 60 mile diameter no fly zone and land safely right in the center of the circle. Hey BIG government, the great depression of the 30s is over you can shut down the WPA and the CCC. They are not needed any more.
Most of the good folks here on dot org understand this, however we are just a tickle on the Elephant which gets switched away with his tail in a cloud of dust.
For you youngsters google WPA and CCC for an education.
I'll try to hold the reins tight. 8)Careful Sky... All that commonsense is nudging this towards R&R.
Wonder if you could get away with dragging bush wheels in the Lincoln reflection pool

Ha..! Just saw that story on one of those "Mystery at museum" or some such show. That was Lawrence Sperry and his Sperry Messinger. Were he with us today, he'd be flying a Super Cub and posting here. His family lived very close to me so when his biography came out I read it. There is a story in there that one day he was flying his flying boat over the Great South bay "testing the auto pilot". His passenger was some
Socialite he was courting. The airplane had a hard landing and the story quoted from the NY Times said when rescuers reached them they found "the force of the crash divested them of their clothing."
