Folks, I was made aware yesterday of a pilot who was operating under 3rd Class medical and developed a cancer. He was told he should immediately notify the FAA, which he did as a "good citizen". Shortly thereafter, he received a letter from the FAA grounding him.
What should he do? What could he have done differently? Was he obligated to immediately let OKC know? Can he now go BasicMed?
I shared some thoughts regarding this likely scenario in Medical Matters, http://www.supercub.org/forum/showt...ed-and-Spilling-Your-Guts&p=739599#post739599
Please take a look at that thread as I share some thoughts on this pilot's situation.
Another premium for being a "good Supercub.org citizen"...
