Sleeve 1.25 axle to make it 1.5

31’s are getting old and looking at buying 35’s. I have 1.25 axles and will need to sleeve them to get to 1.5. Is the sleeve a long term solution? I don’t need new gear. Hate to buy new gear just for the tires. Has anybody been running sleeves for years? Thanks.

Doesn't Airframes have bearings for 1-1/4" axles?

Yes. Just got off phone with airframes. 10 inch wheel now available for 1.25 axle. No sleeve. Guess I should have started there first. Thanks

Sleeves have been around for years. Big advantage if you swap back and forth with gear/skis in 1 1/4" and 1 1/2". If you don't need that option just go with the bearings.

Gear take a beating and do wear out. If you abuse them, seems like cheap insurance to change legs out every so often.

Little cracks/weak spots become big issues in the field.
