Carb temp port plug on MA4 carb.

Wanting to install a carb temp probe on my MA4 Carburator on my 150 hp Lycoming. Appears to be a small aluminum (or brass) plug or rivet where the probe should be installed on side of carb body. This plug is in the same location as an MA3 Carb I have with the temp probe already installed. I am assuming it has been that way since new. Any ideas on removing that plug. Drill + tap? or is it designed to be punched out someway exposing threads for the new probe. Appreciate any input.........Rod

It's a lead plug. The threads are already there.
