Thanks for the blast from the past. I wont be right the rest of the day

Now that you mention it, I can personally attest that the look Stevie is giving about 7 or so seconds in is a dead ringer for the Platinum Blonde on a good day at the Fairgrounds. Really a pity that Waddy Wachtel goes on to butcher the next song and poor Stevie is too far gone on fine Thai weed to sing it. For you youngsters in the Audience, here is the video of the Real Deal doing that song:

I bet itís not! I was moving the snowpile across the road to encourage drying and the front tires slipped off the ice pack. Spent the next 10 minutes mushing the mud back into the trench it left.

I was just telling Jim I need some of their syrup too, dang it.

I landed at one of my friends family dairy farm. Clinton Camp farm is where General Clinton camped his troops in 1779. Most don't know the history of the war in the Mohawk Valley and Tryon district. It lasted 5 years in this part of NYS. We forget how hard we fought for our freedoms. He's a link, old Osquego Creek trail run parallel to my runway
    http://www.schenectadyhistory.org/re...story/067.html
Anyway, landed in hayfield by Clinton Camp saphouse and 50 acre sugerbush to see what was going on. Boys were out tapping trees, I was sad to see that a couple hundred year old tradition had come to an end, they we're switching over to tubing and not putting buckets out anymore. At one time the family had 1200 taps and buckets out, but now with only 2 family members to work the sugerbush the era of sap buckets has come to an end.

I'm still on buckets but very small operation, takes so much even at a tiny operation. This year nothing happening yet and still lots of snow. May be snowshoeing at first at least, hope not. If you guys want to stop by, watch the ice and crust layers on the RWY. Changing daily now.
Just got a canopy for the StarDust so I can ski it- next year by the time I get it on.

My buddy Danny that had the Snowmobile muesum in NWNJ is looking for someone to help get this running again. It's been a few years since I looked at it but I think everything is there just needs fuel and oil to run? He would like to at least get it going once before he sells it. If I remember it had a Lyc 0145 in it?

Got over a foot of snow last 24 hrs with 30+ mph winds. No flying but the boondocking on my sled is awesome again. I love this time of year, I hope winter last another month or more.

I had to stop and go get more gas

Your luck, we got two little dusting of like 2" each. The RWY is starting to show grass patches. Another few weeks and I'll get the SD out to play.

Might be a Spring run of fish up the Hudson they follow. Wiki says Stripers later but what else...Brooklyn Trout?

    Edit: One answer is fish>https://www.poughkeepsiejournal.com/...tings/8113953/

Actually Brooklyn Trout aren't fish. Used condoms. I used to see them exiting the Hudson migrating out to sea.

I was sitting in my hangar outhouse inspecting the plumbing when I realized how much snow we still have. It's been 40f and sunny but in the teens every night.

Another might be the last time I get to play so have to go

Poor Jim. Even as a youngster watching Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom (I grew up in Omaha) I could never understand why Jim never told marlin to get his a$$ out of the helicopter if he wanted the ostrich or alligator or insert wild animal wrestled down? I asked my parents that question and they told me that Marlin was old and that Jim worked for Marlin and if Jim wanted keep his job he’d better do what Marlin said.....from that day on I decided I’d better figure out how to work for myself

The one where Jim was being drowned by that big ass snake while Marlin had his back to him while talking to the camera was the best one
