I usually hang control surfaces to paint them, but i really struggle to see how I am doing with whites, so I decided to rotate them to make use of my limited light setup. I was asked to recover a Scout elevator that had a stick shoved through it and was to be painted Daytona White. I went to the Research and Development section of ACE and this is what I came up with, plus a few scraps from my wood shop. I was able to adjust the angle to reflect the light as needed. I use a similar device for covering and painting the landing gear. Probably nothing new to the old dog pros.
