BTAC: Johnson Creek Super Cub Fly in Re-Cap

Although the weather was less than cooperative, we had a darn good time at the Johnson Creek Super Cub Fly In (and the Breaks, and Spearfish!).

First we, spent a night or two in Bozeman after leaving the breaks. This is the awesome RAF pilot shelter.

It was nice to visit with some of you on Thursday and Friday! We decided to head-out on Friday afternoon so we wouldn't get stuck over the weekend beccause of the forecasted WX. some pictures at the fly-in and some Backcountry Airstrips. Disregard my pictures I have to show, my pictures exceed this forms limit, and I don't have time to down size them.

And, finally, we have new cameras at JC, funded in part by your donations and raffle purchases:

Just checked out the new cams. Pictures look great. All we need now is a big thermometer to go on the snow stake.

You can go to the IAA webcam page. Both new JC camera views (N & S) are there.

PS - the old ruralnet link still shows the old camera.

Here is a comparison of the old camera and the new south camera. The new camera is roughly 2x the resolution in each axis.

The web cameras are built by Eye-n-sky, located here in Boise. They also provide the satellite communications, solar panels, and battery system as an integrated package for those sites that need it.
