Oh yes I have flown 206s... This plane is like a stiff 185 and not like one of the old lighter 180s. In fact she feels heavier than a few 1960s vintage 185s I have flown. The W&B verifies it. But I question the numbers, So I am not sure why just yet. Maybe the rigging. She was wrecked and rebuilt. Plus I need to tweak the float rigging a bit more.
My point was that it is not a ballerina of the skies compared to my old PA11 or my old ag model PA18. I wont be making one-float step-turns while skimming the glassy water with a wing-tip like you could in the 11.
But then again my old PA-11, 12 and 18 could not get out to Caribou lake in 15 minutes or Lake Hood in an hour.
There you go.....decide what your mission is, and buy the airplane that most closely fits that mission.
