Fantastic shot--glad to see her in the air again! Now, if we can just get the "summer" back in the NE and warm up a bit.....

Wish we had known. My wife and I were going to stop there on Saturday to see if Dick would be interested in bringing a plane or two up when we have the B-17 Tour here but once the rain took hold we stayed in.
Would have run down this morning had we known.

We have had an excellent week of after work flying. Wednesday night to the mountains to see Sawyer at carrabassett valley, last night to the sea for lobster rolls. Dont know where we will go tonight.
Its the best time of year in Maine right now.

There were times growing him up I should have used the stick for other purposes. Well, it seemed that way those years ago. Its really an incredible thing for me today to have my wingman be my
business partner, my grandkids dad, and my best friend, my son Andy

We go out to dinner on Friday evenings with friends. We ended up across the Mohawk river in St Jonhsville NY. Lots of history in the Valley. We still had some daylight on the way home so we did a little exploring. Erie canal lock 33 was built in the 1830s and used till the modern locks were built. We stopped to take a look, still amazes me what out ancestors did with no modern equipment.

    Two locks side by side

    Recess for gate doors

Glenn, I thought that the Erie canal was still usable. Is there a wider bypass to this section?

Pete, this is part of the original Erie Canal. The canal in use now has huge cement locks

Thanks a lot to Mark and Pete. These deals that are fun for the rest of us become work for those two, good job
As predicted, Show and Go Joe takes home the gold. CarbonCub dirtfarmer second, Reborn cub owner from NH third
Was a great day, made some new friends and learned a lot.
Thanks cubcrafters for the fabulous prizes.
and glenn you are correct, Andy cost per smile is substantially under budget. Sometimes makes me think he is onto something.

Gotta love this time of year. I get to fly till 9pm every evening and still have enough light left to change the oil after landing at 8:59.

They have cut the alfalfa in the field next to the local ice cream shop. Took the spousal unit out last night. She really enjoys the off airport landings.
Some guy going by with this carbon cub on a trailer wanted to get a pic with the real one. Said he hasnt dared to fly it yet, he has too much money invested go figger

Water is warm for this time of year. My pond surface is 76f. Granddaughter and I played with the tadpoles, last week I think there were a million+ in my pond, I think the bass have thinned the herd some
All those black dots are tadpoles
