God's country, America. It's actually kinda pretty for a week or two after the snow melts, but before we're in a drought!

Spent the past few days in the North Wrangells. Didn't get to make a few of the stops I had hoped for, as the wind knocked me around pretty good. Sure was nice to see some new country, though!

Heading out to run through this morning's airplane wash weather. Much easier to get bugs off this way.

I think they are already on to me. A few weeks ago had a blackhawk come right down the road with a b1 flying top cover. They'll never catch the elusive cub! Blackhawk is between trees and b1 up high. Not a good pic but it was as fast as i could get out of the shop and snap pic.

Across the mountains at Donner Pass to the 2018 High Sierra Fly-in on Dead Cow dry lakebed just north of Reno. Unofficial count was just under 400 airplanes. Lots of dust but had a great time.

Northwest Arkansas... Byrd's Adventure Center and Ponca. Had a good sandwich at the store at Byrd's. Gentleman told me they have 50+ airplanes this year at their fly-in and are hoping for 60 next year. I hope to be one of them.

Beautiful day although a bit chilly for Arkansas. Tomorrow looks even better and I plan to have another go at it!

I may be wrong but that probably won't stop me from arguing about it.

Had a couple of C180s come over and want to see the Brazos River playground. They could only land in one spot and was a PITA to turn them around since we have had a lot of rain and the river has just gone down exposing the new playground. Gave them a tour that ended up making a cool video.

    Thanks for posting.
Looks like a BBW would be a worthy mod for those sandbars--
very noticeable n the turning around by hand footage.

Only Gull is still open around here. Landed on Merrifield Bay and went skating sideways on the glare ice with the crosswind. Fun!
