I sure do love watching that blue flame dancing out of the exhaust once it gets a little dark out

Tom, don't go for a Stearman ride or you'll be selling the duster. It's like the difference between a cub and a

Hey Glen, we just got back and looking forward to flying in the summer. If your coming in at my strip be careful I just mowed and the grass clumps are good size. It was 2' high.
The biplane is totally new to me, I've never been in one so teaching myself to fly it should be fun.

Another rough day. After cleaning up the hangar, had to go for a ride to cool off

I also made the best landing of my life, on pavement too. Guess it's back to aircraft carrier landings now.

Stearman is an easy lander, come in high and gavity and drag land you automatically

We had a couple guys fly in yesterday, andy is taking after glenn, and using every bit of daylight.

We are going to head down to crow island this morning, and back up to our place for a cookout and fireworks this afternoon

    North East Fun 2017

Photos from an extended stop on the way back to Tom's on Saturday. Mr. Heaton has taken these rail cars (that he built) across the country to rail rides - photos on the board show Alaska, and other locales. And he has a thing for PVC and bird feeders.

I should have gone to toms with Andrew but promised my spray foam guy I would hop rides in his hayfield at his big pig roast. The good looking petite girls come out of the grass pretty well, the 220 lb guy
from the Netherlands not so much. Still amazed at how this sportcub performs at gross in tall grass rough short fields.
Wont take any half drunk girls with bikini tops for rides anymore either no matter how good looking. She had a short ride
T3 tailwheel amazing in the rough stuff.

Great time at Tom's but only got 8 or 9 hours in the yellow Cub this weekend. Got home and my 77 year old J4 is bitchin I never spend much time with her. Dumped in some gas and spanked her into going North for a few hours. Life is good

Will, some history on your 12. Freddy loved that plane. Al DeRonda and I did a taildragger only flyin on Labor day weekend from 1994- 2007. It grew into one of the biggest flyins in the North East with over 120 planes. Many years we had biplanes come from all over the East. One year we had 6 Kinner powered biplanes at the same time, 5 OTW and a Fleet. DeRonda was a great place to do a flyin as it was 3700' of grass with a parallel taxiway. It was in the middle of farm country and a great place to screw around, it was a wild fun time and nobody died, thankfully. Freddy Jackson loved the flyin so much that he commissioned Lonnie Sue Johnson to do a painting of the flyin for him which she did. Then had the painting made into Tshirts that later the Cub Club sold. Maybe a 1000 Tshirts. Your 12 is the centerfold of that great event

Nobody got a pix of her. I would have stuffed the camera in her yap to shut her up. As it was the intercom mysteriously quit working on final.
