-18 gear 1 1/4" axel insert also ERZ-8011 Kelly starter part needed

With -18 gear and 1 1/4" axel, what is the recommended size tube/wall thickness to reinforce as an insert tube?

Kelly ERZ-8011 need the brush cage with a good battery cable attachment bolt, my cable bolt broke off.

Doug, it depends on the manufacturer. whatever sleeves nicely inside the axle would be fine. Any adding to the axles thickness by sleeving with whatever nominal 4130 .058 fits is a huge increase in strength. Iron water pipe would also be strong.

If you plan to ever use ski dollys The sleeving will need to be considered.
