I used to buy Tempest oil filters for my last airplane in a 6-pack.
Each individual filter came in a long clear plastic bag.
Worked great for sliding up on the filter, all the way to (and including) the filter adapter,
after cracking the filter loose with a wrench.
Just don't snag it or poke a hole in it with a stray safety wire or ziptie.

That's what I use, a gallon zip lock freezer bag. Use them on the airplane and Dodge with a cummings
