restrictor is originally installed, you will still burn to death in a crash if glass breaks, but will get to enjoy the pain a little longer with the restrictor... but more likely you rip wing of and still get soaked
My "little red ball" in left site glass stuck near bottom. Came to this forum for advice. Decided to remove both balls. Told wife I was headed out to hangar to make the fix. She then asked if I would now have a girl cub.
The restrictor fitting is original equipment. I was told that it's purpose is to dampen the movement of the ball/fuel level in the gage. Without it your accuracy is poor in any kind of turbulence.
