    Threaded Mode for Forum Posts

On a recent survey, I asked for general input on the website. Someone mentioned that all forums but SuperCub.Org have "threaded" mode for displaying threads. We have had it all along, it is just a little harder to get to than one click.

    Here is what you do:

    Go to settings (upper right)

On the left you will see "My settings"

Go down to "General Settings" (and click)

Under "Thread Display Options" you can change your mode to threaded mode.

    Hope that helps!

How about a description of what "threaded mode" means for us who are not that computer savvy?

As long as were on the subject of threads: Any chance that when something is sent to R&R or a new post is made there the main forum could get just a "R&R" with so that those of us interested in such posts would know to go check there? It does not have to say what it's about or anything like that, just a notification.?

Threaded mode is another way of displaying the forum posts, er, in a thread... So you see one post at once but click on thread map above. You can turn it on and try it, and then turn it back off if you don't like it. You can also set up "newest first" mode so your threads display backwards rather than in the order they occurred.

Regarding R&R notifications, all you need to do is "subscribe" to the forum and you will be notified of any new posts. To do this, click the forum link, then go to "forum tools" on the right hand side and choose subscribe.

I was thinking the same, but there is a description here http://www.supercub.org/forum/faq.ph...thread_display. Try playing with the settings that Steve gave the menu path for. It's easier to see the results than try to put it into words .

p.s. I opened separate tabs for settings and FAQ's - made trial and error setting changes much easier than climbing up and down the menu tree - - Gotta refresh the main page with each setting change.
