I don't have a great need for an OAT but sometimes am curious just how cold or how hot it is, so I found this small Bluetooth sensor at amazon. It seems to work just great; Inexpensive and small.

Wow, accurate down to a hundredth of a degree. That will make it easier to promote the global warming issue!

does it have an ON/OFF switch or button or just work so long as the battery has charge..? Looks good but I know I would forget to turn the damn thing on before I took off...

It has a quarter size round battery & no on/off switch. No idea how long the battery will last. I expect a year or so.

Thanks Darrel. I have one on the way from Amazon(prime too!). I lost my oat probe when I replaced the wing mounted air vents in the 180.

Just flew with the OAT for the 1st time. It works fine & the signal is strong with the sensor out by the pitot tube. Sometimes it is slow to record a new reading; up to 30 seconds. But otherwise all is well.
