Rinker and Kern Buck, and the newly restored 71H

Today was a great day to fly, and a great day to watch the two brothers Rinker and Kern Buck reconnect with 71H, the plane they flew 48 years ago!

We shot lots of pictures and got some great conversational video about the trip we will be posting soon on the livestream page!

And Chris and April have officially launched on their journey!

That puts the icing on the cake. Glad they were there to share in the moment and kick off the flight!

Excellent! That adds a lot to the flight!

I hope the brothers got to spend some quiet time alone with 71H.

I was happy to provide charter service to break the force field to get JP out of Maine and down to CT. We had a great trip down and back. Thanks to Laura for all your logistic work on this reunion, you were the one in 3rd place on the happy scale Sat, it was sure fun to reconnect with you and SJ once again. In the world today where there is a lot of crap and crappy people, it was sure my honor to see the faces of the Buck brothers when they met their old friend again. Big smiles all around from two great guys. Its obvious their success as teenagers followed them for the last 48 years. Sounded like they will spend some more time with our Supercub.org family in the future. Forgot to thank you SJ for the picnic. Good luck Chris and April, wish I could tag along on your excellent adventure.

John Meade; The strip on Tecconet is a little short, we had to go missed. See you in July

Here is a sampling of the pictures. I took over 300...not sure when. It was a truly wonderful day. I'm still smiling Jim! Thank you to everyone who made it such a special day!

What a great day- the Buck boys were a pleasure to meet and the excitement they shared seeing their old bird was hard to beat. I'll share a few pics as well once I get unpacked from the return trip home.

It was an extraordinary day. A historical day. In the end, a gathering of aviation friends made possible by SC.org. Kern and Rinker Buck are the real thing, that's for sure.

Wish I could have been there but FedEx did bring me something really cool today. Thanks SJ and Laura.
