    PA11 Nose bowl options

    Hey,

I need a new nose bowl for my PA11, and didn't want to fork over the 1000 dollars for an aluminum one from Univair. Is there any other nosebowls out there that will fit the PA11? Or does anyone know of someone who makes them out of fiberglass with a mold. Any ideas would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,

    Airwolf

Google is your friend if you'd use it.

Airwolf, the wag nose bowls are built pretty decent, tad heavy, but its lasting. The thing i didnt like about them was the flange where the side cowls rest on it was flanged out a little too much and made a pretty big gap. I used a strip of adhesive padding and it came out ok. And maybe they have changed that on them a little? doug

Airwolf, I'm just finishing the molds for a split PA-11 style nose bowl, no starter hole, no oil cooler hole. light weight lots of carbon. Similar to the one I built for Jay in "our cub project" his was one inch wider than stock. If you want to talk give me a call. Randy 907-244-7505

Randy, Is this nose carbon nose bowl you are describing the same overall dimentions as a pa11 nose bowl, or 1" wider? I am starting to gather up parts for a hand proped 150 hp cub. I won't have the ring gear there so if the nose bowl is just slightly wider my it might work? I much prefer the look of a pa11 nose bowl.

Clint, I have both stock and 1" wider (for the 375's)

Measured a pa11 nose bowl. 32 1/2 inches wide at its widest point. A/C Spruce 05-01184 is 35 inches wide at its widest point.

The Wag Aero nosebowl listed for the PA-11 appears to be a PA-17 nosebowl (I've got one of each nosebowl).
