    Passing The Torch

This Super Cub is what got me involved in Cubs many years ago. I learned to fly in a Piper Clipper but when I met Lonnie and N3134G I got very interested in the Super Cub. Conversations with Atlee Dodge and eventually finding this website were major influences. Thanks to Lonnie's generosity I got to fly this airplane a lot and ended up doing a lot of work on it. I was flabbergasted when I was talking to him recently and mentioned that my brother wanted to learn to fly and was looking at another 90 hp Super Cub and he said he would sell 34G. Well the deal came together and we went and picked it up this morning. Another keeper of the Shrine as John Mead says. Looking forward to many more fond memories in her.

Lonnie and my brother Chris as we picked up 3134G just north of Dallas.

Chris and I ready to bring her home to Graham. Stopped off halfway home and put him upfront.

Steve, glad to see you doing more flying instead of all that dismal wrench-turning....

Super deal! Get Chris online with an avitar.

Will it stay in Graham, or lose by?

It will be in my storage hanger and I will maintain it and can fly it as long as I don't take it to the gravel bars and keep gas in it. Gotta get him hooked on the gravel bars.

Will you let Chris fly his airplane?

Very cool. Just make sure those sight gauges are working now...

If he ever decides to go bigger and trick out his Supercub, please don't let him. I'll buy it and he can get another one.

Who is going to instruct him?
