    fuel tank stap felt

    Is there a better material to line the fuel tank straps with and where do you get it

    i use felt, stodards sells self adhesive stuff (butt i still put a coat of contact cement on strap first and let it tach up).... (907) 272-2352

    All I could find was one foot lengths from WW Grainger .....I'll try a fabric store tomorrow...

    I tried felt from McMaster Carr and others sources but the fuel tanks are a tight fit and any variation in material thickness or hardness has an effect on how the tank fits in the tank straps.
