    Airstrips Fairbanks to Bettles

Just got back from another trip up and back and am wondering if there are possibly other airstrips out there that I may be missing. Long flight down following the haul road with only 2-3 options. If anyone knows of some others pls PM, thx.
    thx

    Wheels or floats?

Wheels, sorry should have noted that. But interested in floats as well if you have a specific route. A lot of rivers to follow up that way, Koyakuk, Tanana, etc. Haven't flown it in floats over a concern of getting beyond Anatuvik Pass beyond the John River. I'm heading east at that point so the Colville is not an option and the Sag...don't know, that looks hit or miss on floats but I could be wrong.

The one near the Yukon Bridge, thought it had X on ends and that it is a pipeline strip. There is a mining strip just west of a direct line BET-FAI. I have a picture of it. Don't think it is on sectional

Ya, saw the old I believe it is either the 5 mile or 7 mile airstrip. It does have Xs on it although definately in a condition to land on for a cub. Appreciate the pic of the other one if you have it. There is the short strip out at Livengood that is getting lengthened, I hit that one and refueled. Although it is only 30mins from Fairbanks.

Going North to South from Bettles to FAI are Stevens Village, Rampart, and Minto. Maybe someone on here would comment but I am not sure I would overnight at some. Here is one strip enroute an hour south of BET but I am not sure of it's name

Then there is Wild Lake north of Bettles. I would ask permission on this one in photo as it might be private. There is a longer east west strip just se of this one. And of course Crevice Creek about 40 mi out of Bettles on the John River.

You know I believe I saw Crevice Creek up along the John about midway into Anaktuvuk. Do you happen to have a generic grid on the one in the pics? I'd like to get it in my GPS. The stretch from the Yukon up is the tough one.

That top pic might be Salt River.

It used to have a strip. don't know if thats it or not from the photo

The Sag has been incredibly low, though it did come up today. The john had very little water in it when I flew it last week through Anaktuvak, lots of gravel bars. The same could be said of the North Fork and up the Itkillik when I was over there 3 weeks ago. Most of the rivers that cross the Brooks out of Bettles have lots of workable sand bars.

Floats would be doable north of the range but with all of the lakes on the slope I would avoid working floats on the Sag, big rocks, lots of current. This is great Tundra tire country
