    2012 NH After Action Party

I was very Blessed to have a couple of folks stop by the house on their way home from new Holstein. What a great time. Here are a few photos. Thanks for coming over guys. It was awesome. Lets do it again.

Phil and Becky were the first ones to arrive. I got em checked out on the airport transportation vehicles and they were off and running, Soon Dad (The Donald) arrived with Charlie in his pit,and he was an old pro on the bike. He must have ridden mini-bikes as a kid cause he was GONE. I managed to give em rides in the Hatz. I think Becky got the best ride all day. I could hear her laughter above the engine.

First arrivals took my truck and got some lunch, then rested. L to R = Charlie, Phil, Donald

    Miss Becky. Congratulations.

    They just kept coming.

Steve and Wendy planning the next leg.

My back yard filled up so we had to borrow some tie-down space in my neighbors yards. Fortunately they were all still at Oshkosh.

    Backyard filling up.

Dinner was a collaborative effort. Everyone pitched in. Here is Dr Rick setting up the condiment table.

The Grill Meisters, Rick and Bill.

Yvette polishing Phils airplane? Nah.....just picking up the laundry.

Later in the evening my very good friends Jim (helped me with the last Cub and again with this one - great mechanic) and Dave made it in in Jims' perfect C-180. Special delivery of my new motor mount.
Dave blames me for getting him into Cubs. Not my fault Pat. I swear.

    Jim

Everyone watching Bill fly my RC cub. At least he does not crash it like I do.

    Evening BS session.

Starting to stake out sleeping arrangements. I had folks all over the house, basement, hangar, back yard, and probably a few places I don't want to know about.

Nothing better than sleeping in a hangar under a wing.

    More evening hangar flying

SteveE and son John trying out the airport transportation vehicles. Congrats to John, a new pilot and first time visitor to the big show - Oshkosh.

Sunset over The Donalds Cub. Now "that"was a good day

Bill - hey you should have handed them tools so you would get some extra work done on the new plane??

Pat crashed. Amazingly, no one bothered him. He just slept right through all of us talking and stepping over him.

I tried to get a little food and coffee in my boarders before they left. Every one bugged out pretty early and all was quiet by 8am.

Pat headed out in his 180

Note that smile AFTER some sleep.

SteveE and son John in a borrowed horse. Congrats on a good trip guys and by the way......be sure to pay your fuel bill

Thank you Steve. You are a good man.

Charlie and The Donald. What a team of craftsmen (and a small amount of prankster in there as well)

Becky found a ride. Thanks Phil, it was great to see you both.

Phil headed out and The Donald cranked and ready to follow.

    Last minute flight planning session

Wendy with her PA-12.She recently completed a new Crosswinds 180hp conversion. Very nice indeed.

Bill and Yvette. Bill, are a lucky man. Take good care of that girl.

I stayed at Dr Ricks place after ETenn two years ago. It was a great time. Thanks Doc.

Shortly after everyone was gone I had a couple of more visitors. Terry flew his Cub on floats to Alaska this year. It has been really fun to hear his stories and Lori was a little late to the party but I'm glad she came by. All in all a great time. Thanks again ya'll .............

    Warmly

    LOL

I just hosted my 14th Hatz fly-in. Although I appreciate the nomination and am humbled by it, I would like to respectfully decline. I do SINCERELY appreciate Steve for hosting the New Holstein gathering, and I hope he will have the fortitude to continue for a while yet. It is a LOT of work.
I was/am just happy to have visitors. Thanks again to all who dropped by. It was fun.
