    Off Topic "What are they?

A neighbor recently installed 8 of these, one very close to my house. There are 4 each in two of his fields where nothing but weeds grow. Four are placed about 50 to 75 ft apart in the corners of a square pattern that he mowed in the grass. He has been reluctant to tell me what they are. Round disk on top and bottom with chains between and what appears to be several wooden blocks on the bottom disk. Any ideas?

I know these are not Cub related, however I did discover them while flying the Cub over my place. I thought someone might be able to identify them.

Those are Disc Golf (frisbee) goals. I'd almost bet that he placed 9 of them to make a 9 hole course.

I can deal Disc golf all you do is drive some poles in the ground, unlike regular golf where the get out the Heavy equipment and tear up a couple hundred acres,
mean while back at the ranch airports are dissappearing left and right. and don't even think about landing your cub on one.

I had a neighbor once who worked in the woods most of his life. We were watching some kids throw a frisbee down the road; he said he played frisbee with his brother when he was young. They didn't have a frisbee, so they used old tablesaw blades. Kids got it good these days.

Great, thanks for the info, was afraid he was marking a UFO landing zone and I wanted to make sure they abducted him instead of me!! Guess I will have to go try them out, after dark of course.

What a great site this is, one can find out all sorts of stuff.
