    This weekend at hampton 7b3

Any of you guys in the north east around this weekend? I was thinking about going to Hampton for breakfast or lunch. Anyone want to go?

One of these weekends I am going to be able to meet up with you guys at Hampton. My summer has been crazy with work so far this summer and I haven’t been flying much, although I was able to log four hours in the cub last Saturday. I have heard rumors that Pittsfield (2B7) is having a fly-in sometime in July. Does anyone know the date?

Tim, dont be so hasty here. If Phil Z decides to have his fly in in Aug, we certainly will need to one up the JC crowd with our own poster. Im sure with a little review of Mrs Aimie artwork, Heather would be able to top that. I think you and Glenn should be in charge, you guys are more experienced than the rest of us in those matters. Im sure Constantine will be available to consult as well, I have been receiving his work, he is well qualified.

Scouter can you believe FMD was giving me a hard time about my shorts and tank top the other day!

Phil- i'm gonna need one medium bushwacker t-shirt, a pair of good scissors, and an assistant.

Doesnt surprise me about Johns prudence, dont blame him. Not too long ago on a sunny sunday morn, our own SuperCliffy tore the shingles off the Wentworth Congregational Church about 10 45 in the morning with a yellow cub. John had to spend considerable time on his knees and to this day a lot of what he learned there mending fences has stayed with him. Give him another chance. Russell tells the story better than me. Jeff?

Back to the Bushwacker poster project. Our California associates have set the bar pretty hight with the quality artwork of their fly in poster, we are really going to have to work hard to out do them.

Im thinking you dont need no stinking T shirt at all

Ha! Well i am highly competitive.

Bushwackers on for sure? Has phil made the dinner menu?

JMJ , I was reading through the thread and came upon the pics. I began grasping for the AED on the wall as I had immediately gone into cardiac fibrillation. Having restored myself to proper pacing, I continued to read on and read Heather's above quotes. I went from a grande mal seizure to catatonia. Nearly unable to compose myself I reached simultaneously for the oxygen and nitro pills. Worse, I found myself in a predicament that required immediate medical attention. I dialed 911. A woman answered and siad, "what is the nature of your emergency pleuzzz?" I said "lady, this is difficult to explain, but I was watching TV the other day and the ad stated that if you have a problem that lasts more than 4 hours, contact your physician or go to your nearest emergency room." This 911 operator said, have you taken one of those pills?" I said, " No, but I've been reading posts on SC.Org." She seemed unimpressed and replied, " I suggest then that you take matters into your own hands." "What?" "Egad, has this woman no sense of decency?" "This could be life threatening. "Fortunately, I managed to click onto the Drudge report and there was a picture of Hillary Clinton having lunch with Michelle Obama and my life was saved." Thankfully it appears I've suffered no long lasting ill affects. BTW---where do I order a T shirt?

I remain continually mystified at the recurring notion that the East, more specifically the American Northeast, is reputedly the seat of intellectual thought and higher education with its famous institutions such as Harvard and Columbia etc., and yet the common tee shirt befuddles these Yankees....

    From Wikipedia

A T-shirt (T shirt or tee) is a style of shirt. A T-shirt is buttonless and collarless, usually with short sleeves and frequently a round neck line.
T-shirts are typically made of cotton fibers (sometimes others), knitted together in a jersey stitch that gives a T-shirt its distinctive soft texture. T-shirts can be decorated with text and/or pictures, and they are often used to advertise (see human billboard), promoting products, companies, films and websites.
T-shirt fashions include many styles for both men and women, and for all age groups, including baby, youth, teen, adult and elderly sizes.
The T-shirt evolved from undergarments used in the 19th century, through cutting the one-piece "union suit" underwear into separate top and bottom garments, with the top long enough to tuck under the waistband of the bottoms. T-shirts, with and without buttons, were adopted by miners and stevedores during the late 19th century as a convenient covering for hot environments.
T-shirts, as a slip-on garment without buttons, originally became popular in the United States when they were issued by the U.S. Navy during or following the Spanish American War. These were a crew-necked, short-sleeved, white cotton undershirt to be worn under a uniform. It became common for sailors and Marines in work parties, the early submarines, and tropical climates to remove their uniform "jacket", wearing (and soiling) only the undershirt.[1]
Named the T-shirt due to the shape of the garment's outline, it soon became popular as a bottom layer of clothing for workers in various industries, including agriculture. The T-shirt was easily fitted, easily cleaned, and inexpensive, and for this reason it became the shirt of choice for young boys. Boys' shirts were made in various colors and patterns. By the Great Depression, the T-shirt was often the default garment to be worn when doing farm or ranch chores, as well as other times when modesty called for a torso covering but conditions called for lightweight fabrics.[1]

Now that is the Number One thread hijack of all time....

I heard a rumour that FMD was going to try and top it by putting on an Euro Speedo and posing on the dock at China Lake, but was worried that his current penchant for attracting the ire of local law enforcement with overt acts that constitute "Disturbing the Peace" (see, for example, the now famous WAD "Bridge Incident") might land him in the local hoosgaw.....

Of course, it is possible that when SuperCliff lands on the 280 foot beach he will pose, too..... Still early in the day, though. Anything can happen.

And poor Tom just wanted to show off his new ride and get a bite to eat!

Maybe we just need a continuous "NE'ers bullshit" thread...

Well fortunately it was blowing something fierce(the wind you perverts) and being a new tailwheel pilot I decided not to go. I ended up taking the Cessna up to Maine and visited some friends, and now I'm waiting out thunderstorms. Now after this hi jack, I can't wait for phil's flyin.

Tom - sorry you didn't get to fly to Hampton in your new plane. Glad to hear you got out some anyway. As a side benefit, you now know more about t-shirts than you ever wanted to. You're welcome.

Glenn - this ought to cover it http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crop_top or not (pun intended) Also, you can Google "crop top photos" and go nuts!

Why do I feel like I've just handed you a card that says; "How do you keep a New Yorker busy? Turn over.", on one side and when you turn it over its says; "How do you keep a New Yorker busy? Turn over."
