    Visitors Dropped In Last Week.

Had some folks stop in last week that made for some good pictures. I know a couple of sprayers down in the valley of Texas and they stop in from time to time when picking up new Air Tractors from Olney which is 30 miles away. Last visit they hauled a repaired elevator in a new Air Tractor. This time it was to drop off a set of hydrosorbs for new bungee cords to be installed. Nice looking machine that was brand new. I got Dave and Brian each one of these ordered for their birthdays.

Then a brand new Carbon Cub came through on it's way to Georgia. Just so happens that his previous J3 now resides here.

The engine sure is running nice and clean. You would think that they could have designed the exhaust system so that it didn't dump all that grey residue on the landing gear.

How did you keep Paco from eating the tires?

Steve, do they have a decent tour, over in Olney? I would love, to see them being built.. Wish some college student would film a documentry, on Leland Snow.. Talk about dominating the Market.. probably lots of cool stories in his career.

Have you read his book? Very good book, wish Lou would send mine back. I hear even the retired FedEx drivers get free shipping. Hint, hint. They used to take people through. It is a really cool place, I have been through many times over the years. Would love to have some of their equipment to build Cubs with.

I have the book Low and Slow. One of the chapters is about Leland and shows him in the open cockpit of one of his first creations down in Central America. It was a round engine, him wearing goggles, and the hopper behind him----probably not the best set up but a cool looking plane with good visibility.

We are thinking about 3 or 4 Pacers from our neighborhood to Gainesville in October. Could we stop for a "hello" on our way? Nothing definite yet beyond the fact that a couplr e of us are going for sure.

Will be great to finally meet you Bob. My hanger is the only one on the east side of the field, right off the highway. Unofficial grass landing area is marked in the red circle.

i was hoping you had forgotten! I am planning to give it to you in person at the Seminar.....I'm too cheap to ship it! Nothing from FedEx is free....except maybe the popcorn in AOC.....and you have to fly all night to get even that! I know, bitch, bitch, bitch.

btw....which days have the most participation? Hoping to see as many folks and have as much fun as possible. Either the first 4 or last 4....what do you think?
