    Nimpo Lake security challenged

Saturday we had a stranger claiming to be from Wisconsin challenge the dock guard. It was after hours so he was put in a minimum security cabin for the night. Sunday was windy so he was remanded to another cabin until things settled down again.

At the HappyHour interrogation he tried to "remember" all the places he'd been in Ak & the Yukon, & how he wound up @ Nimpo, and then tried the name dropping technique. When he said he was a friend of Bill Rusk, we thought he must be OK, as who the H would claim to be a friend of Bill?!!

So we fed & watered him, listened to his stories, his pleas to see some sights around here, and finally accepted his alias of "Terrence Bolger". Sounds harmless, 'eh?

Today is calm so we can go & see a few things in the mtns, but the ceiling needs to lift a bit to fly over the glaciers & Wilderness lake. After his sentence is served here he will fly to Hood River, Ore. to see the WAAAM Museum. He likes GA antiques & even owns a couple.

He's a long time member here but says he doesn't post. Maybe he'll chime in...

    Nope, never bored around here!
He's just been "up there" a few weeks, now headed So. then E.
Not sure we want a Bloat Bird here, what the H is that? Lights are always on, but gate may be locked.
Didn't talk fishin' but maybe today.
He's headed So. Atlin is N.

Bloat bird is one of dem things where de fingers are in de wrong spot...

or it could be one of dem birds with skin made from beer cans... and side by side

I need to be careful, possible that I don't want to claim what I am looking at

Hey, I claim Terry Bolger friendship. What a neat guy. He is doing the trip I was trying to do. Wonderful to see the enthusiasm for life that he has. I hope I am going as strong when I am 76. Tell him I said Hi and that I have sure enjoyed his "trip log" emails.

Not sure if he's staying another day or heading westward tomorrow. He topped everything up after our short flight today (low ceiling but we went anyway). He's going down the Knight inlet, towards Campbell River (on Vancouver Isle) and then south to Hood River, Ore. to see the huge GA museum there, then eastward toward Wisconsin again. Yep, he's a great Geezer, and it's your fault he stopped by here, Bill. Thanks.
See YOU one of these days too.

Interesting tidbit: He arrived @ the resort 30 mins over his flight plan ETA, and the phone rang... Ron (new resort guy) told him to answer it... it was flight services looking for a yellow Cub... Terry said "that's me"! He was impressed w/the big brother watching.
