Trying to ID Iditarod Dog Sled race Pilots.

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of Supercub.org

Myself and a few others are publishing a book about "The First Ten Years - Iditarod" dog race. 1973 - 1983
As many of you know the volunteer pilots are the backbone for the mushers supplies, transporting dropped dogs, race officials and even photographers.
I was the official photographer in 1981 and there are three shots I want to include in the Pilots section of the book.
I have enclosed three photos of the pilots and their aircraft at the time 1981. The tail #s now belong to other aircraft.

So hopefully someone out there in Supercub.org can help ID these pilots.
My sincere thanks for your time and brain search.

More than likely George Murphy was one of them....he flies an Aeonca Sedan and the top pic there may be his plane...if that's a Sedan. His is painted yellow now. He and hs wife are now both retired and living up in the Willow area.

I have a neighbor who lived in AK for 30+ years starting in 1970.He has a Cub that we recently overhauled that is an AK veteran. His son is now a bush pilot in AK flying a turbo otter. My neighbor , Jim, says that he weiil be more than happy to help do this i.d. He and his wife were school teachers who ran a fishing lodge in the summers and the son is now flying the Iditarod.
He is a little doubtful about negotating this site but says you are more than welcoms to contact him at pats_35@hotmail.com

    5@hotmail.com.
He seemed pretty sure he'd recognize a lot of them.
