OK folks, here is where we stand as of today!

We are almost ready to go on-line with registration, but not quite. We are finalizing the t-shirt design, menus, and the fly out information. Then we will start registration right after Johnson Creek, so be ready!

If you are new to the New Holstein Fly In, you can read all about it here: http://www.supercub.org/NewHolstein/8d1faq.htm

Looking forward to seeing you there!

New Holstein will once again have their "Night on the Town" during our event this year. They usually have a limo that will take you to the airport at the end of the evening.

Hey folks, the cost for the bus to from New Holstein to Airventure has gone up again this year. I need a quick idea of who might be using it. Please take this 2 second survey to help me figure.

    Thanks!

Thanks, I will have to see why that was not working. It is unrelated to the survey.

    Remember folks, it's a pre-register event!

WE ARE NOT GOING TO PRINT A HUGE NUMBER OF EXTRA T-SHIRTS THIS YEAR, NOR ARE WE GOING TO OVER PLAN AT THE PIG ROAST. MAKE SURE WE KNOW YOU ARE COMING!

    Thanks!

I'm in the process of registering, however I'm having a hard time picking which day to attend Airventure without knowing the fly-out schedule and locations. Do we have an idea on events and plans that SC.org has going on at New Holstein throughout the week like Fly-outs and such?
Fast or slow, always low, freedom of flight soothes the soul.

Richard, go to Step 2 on the link for the schedule

Richard, it's all right there in the FAQ and the flyout guide right on the first page or registration. Also, your bus ticket will work any of the three days.

Richard, I find going to OSH on Tuesday a pretty good plan...get settled in Monday, catch up on things with supercubbers, then go to OSH Tuesday, do evening flyout Tues, do a noon flyout Wed, get back in plenty of time to take in the short field competion and Pig Roast, then do the Washington Island flyout Thursday.

That's what generally works for me.

Hi Randy looks like a good plan, if you want me part of it as a flying mate you make me a happy man! Look forward seeing you, Reint

Exclamation A Quick Primer on the New Holstein Fly In

Just a quick review of all things New Holstein:

    1. You need to register in advance, please use the on-line registration form.
    2. You DO NOT have to fly a Super Cub! All planes are welcome, with the caveat that tricycle gear aircraft will need to park on the ramp by the FBO. We can shuttle you over to the main area for camping, etc.
    3. The flyouts this year will be fun as usual: Wed: Sheboygan, Thur: Washington Island, Fri: Central County / Iola for a five course lunch!
    4. No pets! Pet's and airplanes don't mix in the environment at New Holstein.
    5. Yes! You can drop by and visit! Wednesday is the short field contest and BIG PIG roast. A great day to spend at New Holstein.

You can read all the FAQ's here: http://www.supercub.org/NewHolstein/8d1faq.htm

Thanks! Looking forward to seeing you!

Steve when is the cut-off for signing up? My plan is to fly the J-3 to Hartford with a gaggle. If chosen, I will fly into OSH in a mass arrival. If not chosen, I would go over to New Holstein, but I would not know that until Sunday.

John, Go have your head examined immediately for even considering flying into OSH with a gaggle of J3s you have never flown with.

John, there is not a "cutoff" as the fly in has gotten big enough we can adjust somewhat to changes in attendance, but (as I am sure you know) it helps a whole to have an idea of how many will be there for the caterers, butlers, ladies maids, and brewery.

We hope to see you there ... gaggle or not!

Is it just me or is “a gaggle of Cubs” a bit strange. Not that I am not.
So I ran over to the Wickedpeter thingee and found that a “gaggle”
should be for geese on the ground; “skein” would be for geese in
flight. But I don’t know where Cubs fit in this collective.
Bears are collectively a “sloth”. But then who would like to fly
Into Oshkosh among a Sloth of Cubs?
On the other hand we can freely discuss a peep of baked chicken.

(there is absolutely no charge for this information which seems to
depart the New Holstein flyin thread ... but some things have to
    be outed)

Has baked chicken taken the place of the Wisconsin fish fry? Mark did a great job with that, and I really miss that treat!

    Anne.

    Anne.
Actually Anne, I will let the proverbial cat that ate the chicken out of the bag. We are having FRIED (not baked, poached, sauteed, grilled, or skewered) CHICKEN on Monday night. Arrangements have been made by MT Glass with another local establishment (Altona) to provide the chicken which is not baked.

On a SAD SAD note, the frozen margarita machine we had been borrowing from Stoelting for years through Jeanne Karrels, has been decommissioned and no longer available to us. Somebody get in touch with Wilbur. We need his garbage disposal margarita machine!!!!
