Well I thought that looked like east TN or north GA and then RYY came into view. Where y'all based?
Man...I cant wait. Great Video.
My instructor taught me to keep my hand on the throttle at all times during takeoff, and ive always done that, trims set before takeoff. what do you other guys and gals do?
Come see us down at 20ga [Villa Rica] sometime . Always a good group around on Saturday mornings .You can take the airport car into town for lunch .Two very good country cooking places close by ..... No grass to land on though . RC
Will do asap. Only problem is I work at the FBO at mccollum on the weekends. I'm sure my dad can fly down and meet you guys. Most of my flying is limited mon-fri oddly enough. About 2 years ago my dad bought Dean Rowedders J3 cub from villa rica. We flew that until we stumbled upon a super cub that was in the back of H&L aircraft. Sold the J3 and I flew it to California to the new owner. Not sure if you'd seen Mr. Rowedders cub but it was pretty nice!
What a beautiful long airfield.
Garrett , I know the J3 well . Have known Dean for many years . The Supercub you bought belonged to Josh Powell at one time and it appears you have re-done it . I Look forward to seeing it in its new colors , if I am correct . Richard charles
That is correct. Don't know if you know but Josh passed away about a 8 months to a year ago. My dad was keeping him updated on the restoration process. He didn't get to see it all finished. My dad and I were both amazed at how much more airplane a super cub is over a j3. After he bought the super cub he never flew the j3 again....I still did. But he sold it soon after figuring out how much more useful and still fun the super cub was.
Northside or south side?I work at the FBO at mccollum on the weekends
