If one could buy a PA-18A fuselage for $500 that already need some welding work, how much trouble would it be to widen it 4"? Maybe too much, but any ideas?

the strait across tubes you could just extend, but all the diaginal ones would have to be replaced because the angles will be wrong..... sounds like more grinding work..... than just welding new tubes together.....
Mike, I had thought about the across tubes, but not about the diagonal tubes. Still might be doable? I'm good with a cut off wheel grinder. When "they say" 4" wider where is that? Front spar carry-through?
