Why is the pilot not wearing his 'Backcountry Cub' special hat in the poster?
I don't know where you've been me lad, but I see you won first Prize!
Hopefully this year I will make it...and I'm sure the weather will be awesome ....always is here in Idaho
Hi Dave,
Where is the poster with the pretty looking model on it?
I need to schedule a photo session and get working on posters. It is a priority with me too. DK
Physics always bats last.
Heyyy, I know that guy in the poster.... it's JJ from NC! Kool! I think that earns him DQ immunity!![]()
This should be a great one... while there are never any guarantees, we are not stuck in the cold wet pattern we had going into last year. In fact, we could settle for the nice weather we are having right now. Dave's announcement poster...is a right of spring...but really looking forward to the posters with the .. "human" touch. If you need help with that photo shoot, I'm there for you! R

Yes Lou she would....but thankfully she doesn't read this forum. Thank goodness I suspect most of our wives don't..we are usually acting like 4th graders, or adult idiots....and loving it. R

Maybe Mr. Kirsten can find some buff dudes to model the t-shirts so the ladies will have some eye-candy to look at, too. Your wives will surely approve

Well if I can convince the Feds to renew my medical maybe I can do some flying and head out that way.
The Supreme Court is not always correct. In fact, some human bodies are inherently obscene. I know this for sure....R

So the Feds tell me that I have a medical, they just haven't signed and mailed it. It's only taken a month so far... But I think if I can save up for the fuel I'll be out there.
The t-shirt design is really cool too!
I like the new shirt Dave. Hope to be there and meet up with the guys in Spearfish.
Probably just go to Missouri Breaks and head home.

Dave,

The raffle donations are going well... ahead of last yer. We have a few new vendors participating including Sunnheiser, Cam Guard, Rosen (shades). I'll post updates as received.
I just spoke with Mike Bassett of Rosen Sunvisor Systems. They recently received an STC for a SuperCub visor system and are now in production. Mike has generously donated a SuperCub visor, a Cessna 180/185 visor system and 10 crew shades. He is planning to attend Johnson Creek where he will personally introduce Rosen Products to the SuperCub community. As soon as we receive photos we will post them. Thank you Mike (and Capt. Lou) for the generous support.
This is a link to the Husky visor which is similar to the SC version.

We received a call yesterday from Brenda at Cubcrafters and as they say in World Series of Poker "They're all in". I know none of us takes them for granted so it is very gratifying to have them on board for National Bushwheel Awareness Week 2012. They will be serving a meal to all in attendance on Saturday night June 16th. As many of us who have enjoyed their hospitality in the past know, they know how to do it right. Buy the way Lou, we're saving the first three parking spots for CubCrafters.

Horsefly Aviation (the Cubcrafters certified sales center for Idaho, Nevada and Utah) is back in 2012. Royce has made all the arrangements to serve a first rate meal Friday night (6/15), and this time I got the numbers correct. That means both Friday and Saturday evening meals will be provided by our generous sponsors. Royce also has a surprise in store for us. It will be an early opportunity for SuperCub fans to evaluate the new radial cub. We look forward to seeing Royce and his new mount at Johnson Creek.

Our previous DeWalt contact moved out of the area last fall, so we didn't know what to expect with a new area representative. She dropped by yesterday and asked some questions about our event and the connection to DeWalt tools. Obviously I told her how the fleet of Piper Cubs are no longer supported by the factory and how enthusiasts and aftermarket parts suppliers have banded together in support of the Piper Cub. I told her that many A&P work benches are equipped with DeWalt tools and that the aviation community in general supported DeWalt. She said our event was the only fly-in that DeWalt supported in this region and that they would like to do more. "Let me go to the truck and see what I have." A moment later she came back with some cool stuff. She is also sending us some of the nylon tool bags like we had seen in the past. Thanks Karen and DeWalt for your support again this year.
